In cooling mode, heat pumps transfer the heat in an enclosed area to the outside, resulting in a cooling of your conservatory or other room. In cold weather, they pump heat extracted from the outside air indoors, allowing indoor environments to be heated as well as cooled using the same airconditioning unit. For each unit of energy used, heat pumps can generate up to 3 times as much heat as electrical heating systems, so they can save energy and reduce heating costs.
